LHOTP Book Collection: Today I chose The Little House Cookbook, Frontier Foods from Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Classic Stories, by Barbara M. Walker, and illustrations by Garth Williams. Copyright 1979. The first photo is the cover of the book, you can see it has the Little House Laura Ingalls Wilder Logo at the top. The second photo features an illustration of the family enjoying popcorn in the evening, along with some apple cider, we saw Ma and Pa enjoying popcorn on the show.🍿 The third photo features an illustration of people at the pumpkin patch, and you read about making stewed pumpkin, yummy! 🎃 The fourth photo features an illustration of the kids gathering potatoes from the root cellar, to prepare fried potatoes, along with the recipe. 🥔 The fifth photo features an illustration of Pa enjoying pancakes. Ma would make pancakes in the shape of a man, therefore calling them Pancake Men. 🥞 This is a fabulous cookbook with many recipes of that time!
